Original U.S. WWII Airborne Glider School Insignia Patch German Field Equipment This lovely set consists ofOriginal Item: Only One Available. This patch was first worn by the United States Airborne Glider School then worn later by the 79th Troop Carrier Squadron of the IX Troop Carrier Command. The 79th was a unit that carried the glider troops into Normandy on D Day, June 6, 1944. The patch is in great shape overall with good embroidery and little material loss. The color is still strong and there is an old collectors note on the back attempting to
