Original U.S. M1821 Regulation Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer's Eagle Head Pommel Sword with Weyersberg-Made Blade Flintlock Pistols it was common for officersOriginal item: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice original Eagle Headed U. S. Non Commissioned Officer's sword from the early 1800s. This exact pattern is of the 1821 regulation. The gilt of the hand guard is heavily worn. The hilt has a very nice "closed mouth" Eagle head pommel. The grip is wood, so we believe this to be more of a Non Commissioned Officers sword. The eagle's head is very well executed, with a lovely antiqued brass patina.
