Maurice Eliot 'Les fêtes de Gavarni' captured woman Belasco TheatreMaurice Eliot (1862 1945) was a French painter engraver, and illustrator. The event took place in the Salle Favart in the Opra Comique in Paris in April of 1903. The end result is a sort of mystifying scene, as guests are captured mid movement in formal evening attire.
