Original Pair of Italian Silver Mounted Flintlock Pistols marked by the Chinelli Family of Gardone c. 1700 German Field Equipment from August 1924 until JuneOriginal Items. One of a kind pair. This wonderful set of Italian Long flintlock pistols is really compelling, with beautifully carved wood stocks with carved embellishments. The 12 1 2" Damascus barrels are decorated in heavy GOLD and the iron is carved which is also found on the hammer. The lock plates of both are signed on the bottom: CHINELLI This is the name of a gunsmithing family who worked in Gardone Val Trompia in Italy, from as early as 1580
