This is a fantastic German WWII swagger stick, commemorating service in the Army Heer Artillery during WWII. Sticks like this are commonly encountered from veterans of World War One but very rarely from WWII. The top of the cane has an aluminum and steel cap, with a German Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) over the "Crossed Cannons & Shell" insignia of Artillery. Around this the cap is embossed in German Blackletter Type with
