This is an excellent unissued example with a lovely metal shield attached to field gray wool Heer (Army) cloth backing. The wool is in great shape, with just a bit of fading, and no mothing. The rear paper backing is about 99% complete, and has a great aged look, with some oxidation stains from the retaining clips. This example was never fitted to a uniform, and still retains the original antiqued brass finish, with
