The blade is handmade and expertly crafted by a master sword maker and signed by him on the tang BISHU MIYOSHI JU SUKEHIDE. Their full real name was YOKOYAMA SOUZAEMON. It is dated , which would be for KEIOU era 3rd year, 2nd month which translates to February 1868. The era characters are written
