Original British Brown Bess Naval Marine Flintlock Musket circa 1800 Marked - H.M.S. AFRICA US Civil War the Lewis gun was notOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a fascinating Third Model Brown Bess Musket with standard 39 inch long barrel and a . 75 inch bore. The stock is walnut, mounts are all brass, and trigger guard has a "ball" front projection indicating that the musket was built for the Royal Navy. The lock is marked with a Crown over G. R. and reads "Tower" across the tail. The musket shows use but is in overall a very good display condition. The barrel bears
