This is an exquisite well preserved example of the scarce Danish M1831 Officers shako. The shako features a tall black leather body with brass trim and front plate. The large brass insignia bears the crowned royal cipher "FR", consistent with the reign of King Frederik VI or Frederik VII. Leather back chinscales are held in place by two Lions head bosses, and the front of the shako retains a faded white feather
